Well, I think I finally fixed my Kodak EasyShare digital camera, but it was not in time for the Smashing Pumpkins show (on Tuesday, October 16). So the videos are from a distance and quite blurry, but the sound I get from this camera is pretty awesome. It's not overwhelmed by bass like many other cameras out there.
It would've been better to bring the Mini-DV camcorder, but that's another item in need of repairs.
Which reminds me: Scott, if you're reading this, I bought you a new (and identifical) Mini-DV camcorder to replace the one I borrowed from you (could you even tell the difference when the camcorder was returned to you?).
I dropped your original camcorder on the deck of a whale watching boat (during my trip to Washington state) and it was screwed up as a result.
So I have your original camcorder and intend to repair it and make it my own. It's so liberating being able to say that. My life has been a set of elaborate lies lately ... and the lies would be almost purposeless in any other family. Except, you see, I come from a family where I'm still accused of losing a dustbuster at age 12. And if I told the story of dropping Scott's camcorder, my whole family would be labeling me a clutz until age 40. And they would talk about how "irresponsible" I am with other people's belongings, even though a) I hardly ever borrow anything - I'm more of a lender in this life ... and b) I bought Scott A NEW CAMCORDER. Who cares? If you replace the equipment you accidentally destroyed, it shouldn't be an issue. But in my family there would be one. Everyone is keeping score, every misstep is recorded in a book 6 feet wide.
I hate to lie. I almost never do it. Yet I've had to lie to my family on multiple occasions the past few months -- over meaningless nonsense like this too.
Anyway, here are the Pumpkin videos I've posted so far:
