I must be the last person boarding this train, but I really have to express my admiration for Alex Horton. Here's a Dallas Morning News story about Alex & his writings from Iraq and home. There is only one thing to say about Alex: he is absolutely awesome. He will keep you reading for hours. There are aspects to his blog that are indeed political ... but even if you disagree with him (I don't; I think he hits the nail on the head with almost every argument), you have to admire the way he transports you to another place and makes you experience the emotions of being there.
Another thing I like about Alex's blog: as you read it, you get the sense that he is the best possible guy you could have serving beside you. Devoted to his friends and of the highest character.

About Me

- Jeff Meredith
- I am a researcher, reporter and conference producer with experience spanning the aerospace & defense, biopharma, chemical, consumer electronics, energy, homeland security, human resources and IT markets.

I have an M.S. in science and medical journalism from Boston University (Dec 2008) and did my undergraduate work at Indiana University, majoring in journalism and political science (May 2001). After interning for the Chicago Tribune as a collegian, I landed my first real gig in the Windy City: I was a senior technology writer for I-Street magazine (Sept 2001-Feb 2003).
