On A Bit Of A Veruca Salt Kick ...

Sue me -- I liked this band. I was just remembering how the "Volcano Girls" video was playing nonstop during my spring break freshman year (March 1997), along with Beck's "New Pollution" (a song I was never really fond of -- plenty of good stuff on that album though). Perhaps it was gimmicky, but I loved the bungee cords concept for "Volcano Girls." Anyway, here's the video, along with "Seether."

Huh. I actually just purchased both those songs for my iPod last week. Weird.

I was playing around with the solos for both of these songs today and they're insanely catchy. Keeping with my tradition of covering songs by female singers, I foresee some Veruca Salt covers in the near future.

Veruca Salt rocked. I always blast those songs when they come on the radio, and now that I have an iPod, I guess I can hook myself up.
