Rajon Rondo
Too bad the Celtics are blowing out the Nets today -- I imagine Rondo will sit out the 4th quarter and be unable to pad his stats. So far today, he has 8 rebounds, 14 assists, 2 steals, 8 pts, and a three in 25 minutes of action. He may wind up just short of a triple double.
UPDATE: Rondo finished with 9 rebounds, 14 assists, 4 turnovers, 2 steals, 8 points. He was 3 for 6 from the field, hit one 3, and was 1 of 2 from the free throw line.
Here are his overall numbers as a member of my squad:
In 5 games, Rondo has 47 points (9.4 ppg), 58 assists (11.6 apg), 31 rebounds (6.2), 15 turnovers (3), 12 steals (2.4), 2 blocks (0.4), and one 3. He has shot 18 for 44 from the field (.409), and 10 for 17 from the free throw line (.588).
His free throw percentage leaves much to be desired, but I've punted the category already. He will improve from the field (he was over 50% when I acquired him) and should have fewer TOs than Duhon in the long run. The assist figure is obviously great right now, but I'd expect something closer to 8 per game.
